Beyond the Birds and the Bees

Supporting Your Teen Through Relationships, Sexuality, and Identity Formation

Adolescence is a time when young people explore romantic and sexual relationships, form their sexual identities, and figure out who they are and what matters to them. Yet many parents feel uncomfortable or underprepared to talk with their teens about these crucial topics. This interactive workshop takes a comprehensive, strengths-based approach to adolescent sexuality, sexual health, and relationships, covering everything from social media and sexual identity development to dating violence and consent. The workshop includes space for honest self-reflection about your own comfort levels and biases, helping you build the awareness needed to have these conversations without judgment. You'll walk away with practical strategies, conversation tools, and resources to confidently support your teen as they navigate the complexities of relationships and sexuality. Whether you're answering tough questions, responding to concerns, or wanting to be proactive, this workshop will help you show up as a trusted, non-judgmental guide for your teen.
